The whole reason this exists
I fixed my dad's business.
My dad's been a commercial contractor in Georgia for over 30 years. Churches, restaurants, shopping plazas, the kind of jobs with a lot of zeros on them. He ran the whole business out of spreadsheets he built himself. They worked. They were also held together with tape and muscle memory.
We looked at a bunch of software to replace them. Two hundred bucks a month, four hundred features he'd never touch, a login his guys would never remember. Maybe that's the right call at a hundred employees. We had 2. The math never worked.
He didn't want software. He wanted what he already had to just work.
So I rebuilt the spreadsheets instead. No more formulas breaking mid-job, no more entering the same number in four tabs and hoping they matched. Then the job costing, so he stopped finding out a job lost money after it was done. Then the schedule.
I put them online to see if anyone else wanted them.
People did.
Template Library
Four files doing the work of four subscriptions.
All four come with the one $97 purchase, plus every template I build next. Click any of them for the full story.
Construction Bid Template
Most bids go sideways when one number changes and the rest of the sheet doesn't keep up. Enter your costs once. Markup, totals, and the client estimate update on their own.
Job Costing Tracker
The bid told you what the job should make. This tells you what it's actually making. Log costs as they hit, and watch budget versus actual move in real time before a job quietly goes underwater.
Construction Project Tracker
Every job is a list of who owes what by when. Track tasks, owners, and due dates in one place so nothing slips between the trades and you always know what's late before the client does.
Schedule of Values
Billing a job in pieces shouldn't mean rebuilding the math every draw. Break the contract into line items once, enter percent complete, and your payment application totals itself.
Why these cost more than the cheap ones
Every cheap template dies the same death.
You buy one for eight bucks. It looks fine in the screenshots. Then on day two you insert a row, and the formulas explode, and the dashboard goes blank, and you're back to a legal pad by lunch.
That's not your fault. It's how they're built: formatting on top, nothing underneath.
Mine are built on real jobs. Years of running a business on them, not a weekend of dressing one up to sell.
These ran a business
before they ran yours.
Before any of these went online, my dad ran a 30-year commercial GC on them. Churches, restaurants, shopping plazas, jobs with a lot of zeros. Years of getting it wrong and fixing it. By the time you open one, the mistakes are already out of it.
The summaries update themselves.
Dashboards and totals redraw off your data, not off fixed cell addresses. You change what's underneath, and the top-level view follows. That's the part the cheap ones skip, because it's the hard part.
Real formulas, not formatting.
Open any cell and read the logic. Nothing hidden, nothing locked. You customize it like it's yours, because it is.
That's the difference between a template you screenshot and a template you run a business on.
(They're built for Excel 365 or 2021 and up. More on Google Sheets in the FAQ.)

$97
one-time
One month of the estimating software my dad turned down costs more than this whole shelf. $97 is roughly the markup on a single change order, and it buys back a Sunday on every bid from here on out. I'll let you do that math, since doing math in your head is the thing you're already good at.
