Construction Job Costing Tracker
Stop guessing where the budget went.
Most contractors find out a job made money when the final invoice clears. Which is the exact moment it's too late to do anything about it.

The whole reason this exists
You can build anything.
Run the crew, hit the schedule, handle the inspector, keep three subs from killing each other on site. That's the hard part, and you're good at it. What you can't do, in the middle of all that, is see whether the job is actually making money or quietly bleeding it.
So when do most contractors find out if a job was profitable?
When the final invoice clears. Which is the exact moment it's too late to do a single thing about it.
Here's the thing nobody likes to say out loud.
It's not that you're bad with money. You know your numbers. The problem is the numbers don't live anywhere. They're spread across a glovebox full of receipts, a bank app, a couple of texts from your PM, and your own memory. They never sit in one place at the same time until the job is over and you finally add it all up.
My dad ran jobs that way for 30 years. Commercial work in Georgia, churches and restaurants and shopping plazas, jobs with real money on them. He'd feel good about a job the whole way through. Then he'd total it up at the end and find out a fat chunk of his margin walked out the door in week three, on a change order somebody priced wrong and nobody flagged.
By then the building's up. You can't un-spend it.
So I built him a tracker that tells him the truth while he can still use it.

Budget vs. actual. Every week. Not at the end.
You set the job up once on the Setup tab. Five minutes. Every other tab pulls from it, so you never enter the same thing twice. Click through the four tabs and watch one job flow from plan to truth:
Audience
So, is this you? Be honest. It's not for everyone.
This is for you if you...
Run jobs with real money on them and only learn the margin once it's over.
Are a GC or remodeler who tracks costs in your head, your truck, and a shoebox.
Have watched a mispriced change order quietly eat your profit.
Want job costing without learning QuickBooks or paying for an accounting package.
Skip it if you...
Already run a full accounting system you're happy with.
Need it to run live in Google Sheets with zero fiddling (it's Excel-first).
Want a bookkeeper to do all of this for you instead.
Run one small job a year where the margin never surprises you.
A few things I'll tell you straight.
It's built in Excel
Excel 365 or 2021 and up, and that's where it works best. Convert it to Google Sheets and some formulas break (the stuff that makes the tabs talk to each other). If you're set on Sheets, screenshot the formulas, paste them into ChatGPT, and ask it to rebuild them Sheets-compatible. It takes a little fiddling, but people do it. I'd rather tell you up front than have you find out after.

No login, no "starter plan." I'm not building a SaaS. There's nothing recurring lurking behind this. You buy it, it's yours, and you use it on every job for the rest of your career.
You can add rows without breaking it
The thing everyone worries about with a template: you add a line and the formulas explode. The guide shows you the four-step way to insert a row that keeps every formula intact. That's the only trick you'll ever need to learn. Click any cell and read the logic. Nothing hidden, nothing locked. You customize it like it's yours, because it is.

One month of the estimating software my dad turned down costs more than this whole shelf. $97 is roughly the markup on a single change order, and it buys back a Sunday on every bid from here on out. I'll let you do that math, since doing math in your head is the thing you're already good at.
