Quick story.
My dad has built commercial jobs in Georgia for about 30 years. Churches, restaurants, shopping plazas. He can price a build from the truck and tell you which trade is two days behind without looking. The man is not bad at running a job.
But he ran his schedule off a wall calendar, a legal pad, and his own memory. It worked right up until something slipped, and on a jobsite something always slips. Then he was the only person on earth who knew the new plan, and the guys were still building to the old one. He'd burn half of Monday just getting everyone back on the same page.
That's not a scheduling problem. That's a spreadsheet problem.
So I built him one file where there's only ever one page to be on.

A few things I'll tell you straight.
It's built in Excel
Excel 365 or 2021 and up, and that's where it works best. Convert it to Google Sheets and some formulas break (the stuff that makes the tabs talk to each other). If you're set on Sheets, screenshot the formulas, paste them into ChatGPT, and ask it to rebuild them Sheets-compatible. It takes a little fiddling, but people do it. I'd rather tell you up front than have you find out after.
