Construction Project Tracker

Keep every project on track.

A Gantt timeline, a Kanban board, and a monthly calendar, all built off the same set of tasks. Change a date in one place and all three redraw. By Wednesday they still agree, because there's only one plan underneath them.

The whole reason this exists

You already have the whole job in your head.

Foundation before framing, framing before the roof, who's on site which week, what can't start until the inspector signs off. The plan isn't the hard part. You've run this play a hundred times. The hard part is keeping it written down somewhere the whole crew can see, and keeping it true once things start moving.

So why does the plan take three files to maintain and still go stale by Wednesday?

It shouldn't. And it doesn't have to.

Quick story.

My dad has built commercial jobs in Georgia for about 30 years. Churches, restaurants, shopping plazas. He can price a build from the truck and tell you which trade is two days behind without looking. The man is not bad at running a job.

But he ran his schedule off a wall calendar, a legal pad, and his own memory. It worked right up until something slipped, and on a jobsite something always slips. Then he was the only person on earth who knew the new plan, and the guys were still building to the old one. He'd burn half of Monday just getting everyone back on the same page.

That's not a scheduling problem. That's a spreadsheet problem.

So I built him one file where there's only ever one page to be on.

Audience

So, is this you? Be honest. It's not for everyone.

This is for you if you...

Run jobs in phases, with tasks and crews that depend on each other

Keep losing track of which file or wall calendar is the current plan

Want a timeline, a board, and a calendar without paying $15 a seat every month

Already live in Excel and want to keep it that way

Skip it if you...

Need full project-management software with logins, permissions, and integrations

Work entirely in Google Sheets and won't open Excel

Track exactly one task and don't need three views of it

Want task dependencies that auto-shift the whole schedule when one date moves

A few things I'll tell you straight.

It's built in Excel

Excel 365 or 2021 and up, and that's where it works best. Convert it to Google Sheets and some formulas break (the stuff that makes the tabs talk to each other). If you're set on Sheets, screenshot the formulas, paste them into ChatGPT, and ask it to rebuild them Sheets-compatible. It takes a little fiddling, but people do it. I'd rather tell you up front than have you find out after.

No subscription. Ever.

No login, no "starter plan." I'm not building a SaaS. There's nothing recurring lurking behind this. You buy it, it's yours, and you use it on every job for the rest of your career.

You can add rows without breaking it

The thing everyone worries about with a template: you add a line and the formulas explode. The guide shows you the four-step way to insert a row that keeps every formula intact. That's the only trick you'll ever need to learn. Click any cell and read the logic. Nothing hidden, nothing locked. You customize it like it's yours, because it is.

$97

one-time

One month of the estimating software my dad turned down costs more than this whole shelf. $97 is roughly the markup on a single change order, and it buys back a Sunday on every bid from here on out. I'll let you do that math, since doing math in your head is the thing you're already good at.
